How to post pictures?

Can someone give me info about what it takes to post pictures? I have heard of scanners and digital cameras but have no idea how to use either. What is the best method? Thanks for the help.

Tom, look in the first gen forum, there is a thread with links to instructions on posting pictures. Also click on the "UBB Code is ON",next to the reply box, when posting, this also has instructions.

I believe the good digital cameras come with everything you need to download all the pictures to your computer.

I would recommend the Sony Digital Cameras (Mavica). They use 3. 5" disks in the camera to stor your pictures. Each disk holds 20 to 24 pictures. Disks are just about free, if you have been a computer used for any length of time you have a pile of them. This is a lot cheeper than memory cards.

I have a camera and a scanner. I think the scanner works pretty nice, but my camera is cheap and doesn't take good pics.

Thanks for all the replies, good info. Now I know where to start, sure seems overwhelming but I suppose it's like everything else with computers, gets easier with practice.
