Hello everyone. I have a question for the experts. I have a 12 valve fire ring headgasket i bought for my pickup. The only problem is I needed a . 020 over gasket and they don't have those. I do have my old marine 12V gasket that's already punched for my 24 valve so I know which holes need to be enlarged. My question is, how do I go about doing it?? Anybody who has done it before please chime in or maybe lead me in the right direction. I was thinking something along the lines of machining a sharp end on a piece of shaft the diameter I need and using that in a press to punch out the holes. I think there are only 4 or 5 that need attention. Thanks in advance

What I did was go to a small Tool and Die shop in my area. These places have some high quality hand punch sets, they let me use the punch set. Used the 24 valve gasket to punch the holes that needed enlarged. These punch sets cost around $100. 00. You could by one your self at MSC or Enco tool co. Makes a real clean cut hole. Thanks Steve B
