Try the air hammer! The IR air hammer set I bought had a split chisel tip that appeared to be made just for removing large nuts like this. It was loose within 3 seconds - no kidding.



The wrench set mentioned by C. would be even one step better than using the chisel tip directly on the hex nut/shaft. Either way the air hammer will do the job quickly and no need to bother trying to hold the pulley stationary.
