Anyone know how to remove the small convex mirror on the towing mirror? I hit it with something and broke the small one. Where to get it too??

This thread ain't gettin much action so I will throw this in. Don't know if the newer ones are the same but on mine (06) move the glass toward the truck as far as it will go, push in toward truck on outer edge of glass, it will unsnap and hit the mirror housing, now move it outward as far as it will go and carefully move the glass toward truck untill it clears the clips then out of the housing. Hope this helps. bg

I dont mean to thread jack but I broke the large portion of the mirror does anyone know how to change that one as well?

Years ago, I broke the glass in the towing mirror on my then owned 2nd generation truck. I went to Binswanger Glass, a multistore glass company in the DFW area. They had the replacement glass in inventory and replaced it in less than 30 minutes. I don't know if they are the same on a 4th generation truck.

My local auto value had replacement glass in stock for the older style mirrors for like 14 or 15 bucks... On the older style mirrors the glass is on a one piece backing (both the large glass and small glass are glued on one backing). I heated the glass up and cracked off as much large pieces of glass as I could and scraped off rest off. It was an easy job maybe 30-40 mins
