Hmmm, well, okay... . I still think I'd rather swap the whole front end. You get the bigger radiator capability, an intercooler capability, and it's all plug and play... . Not to take away from the guys hard work, to be certain.

Either way is NOT that hard... . but, where I can simply bolt the parts in, it makes a cleaner assembly, IMO. No welds, no cuts, no mystery trying to find the notebook I had it wrote down in 12 years ago... . :D Again, NOT TO TAKE AWAY FROM THE GUYS HARD WORK!!

Agreed. It would be easier but again not right.

And we all know me. If I were to do it, it would end up as a full resto. :D

guys... I like the 91-93 grills the best of all of the grills ... But they are NOT vary well made. They break easier than glass. They are made of ABS plastic which shrinks rapidly with age ! These trucks are getting old. It won't be long before the grills , lights, inserts, head light rings ect. are all discontinued. I know for a fact that Chrysler will not be making anymore of them once the existing stock runs out. The aftermarket ones are kind of junkie looking. Especially when the DODGE letters are not put back on! I myself have 30 grill frames + all the other parts that go on the.

I have them packaged in sealed vacuum containers and stored in an under ground root cellar. I did this to slow down the solvent evaporation out of the plastic. I wanted to be sure that I had enough grills to last the remainder of my life. The point I am trying to make is that these 91-93 grills will NOT last as long as the the earlier aluminum grills will.

I would think twice before changing over. .

That's a very good point.....

Too bad someone doesn't repop the 91-93's in aluminum or just a better grade of plastic.

OH, good Lord!! Don't start that ball rolling again!!!! I spent over a year chasing my tail on door panels and trim parts!!! No one will go out on a limb for anyone, and i couldn't cough up the $80+k to get molds made, so I spent my money on some land and farm equipment. Not sure which would have been the best investment, yet... ... hasn't rained for several months until this week..... Good door panels and front grills are non-existant in this Texas heat. There are some good looking new grills available from some aftermarket sources, for both type grilles. Can't remember what the name was for the last one, but it fit like a new one, and had the heavy plastic casting you find on the factory grille pieces. My paint and body man got it for me.....

We put a non-name badge one on Mikee's '85, and it looks pretty darn sharp. The castings were thin like the cheaper ones, but it looks and fits good, IMO... . https://www.turbodieselregister.com...hoto/4597/title/mikee-27s-new-ride-21/cat/500

:{ no... ... Probably the most dissapointed I've ever been... . but if I win the lottery... ... :D Lots of folks have their doubts about how sorry I am, but if I win the lottery, I'll prove it!!! (and get some dang door panels made!!!)
