How do I tell if my truck already has a fuel plate in it, short of taking it out and posting a pic? It does have a boost elbow on it and it will make about 30psi with the elbow all the way closed. Whe I bought it, it was only makin 23psi, but the line to the guage was frayed and leaking. It does not smoke hardly at all, and the hottest the EGT has ever got was 900* pulling about 11,000lbs up a 5% grade at 65mph in fifth. I cant get it past about 700-750 empty. Oh yeah, these are post turbo numbers.

On the AFC housing cover there are four bolts if it has not be opened the front passenger side bolt should be rounded over and smooth (no slot for a screwdriver or torx bit or look like a bolt).

Yeah, I concurr with Nathan, if the AFC has been removed then the temorary break-off screw would have been tampered with and most likely there is a allen head bolt or just a regular screw in its place. Unless the previous owner had reinstalled another brek-off screw to keep the warranty valid.

From your EGT explaination, I bet you still have the stocker or a very mild aftermarket piece. Those EGTs are a little too low but the amount of boost your running would explain that your getting more than enough air to burn all the fuel and give the cold EGTs.
