In my 97 Dodge I always used the "O/D" button locked out when pulling my 5th wheel, especially when starting from a stop, or pulling up a grade, etc. It completely locked out the overdrive and kept up the rpms. My new 2005 Dodge has the "Tow/Haul" mode and seems to work quite differently. The truck seems to actually shift into overdrive and at about the same rpms. I can tell that "Tow/Haul" mode causes the shift points from 1-2 and 2-3 to be prolonged or delayed a bit. It this all normal for the truck to shift into overdrive even though it is in "Tow/Haul" ?
