I used to own a 2005 SLT CTD, but through a total momentary lapse of reason, I got rid of it (see 3rd Gen postings). I have managed to redeem myself in my wife's eyes (for the moment), and I am going down to Houston this weekend to pick up a 2001 SLT Plus CTD. Just thought I'd say hi and post a few pics. I used to own a 1997 SLT (non-CTD) and loved the body style, and to tell you the truth, I'm glad I'm going back to the 2nd Gen... just seems more Dodge (can't explain it, but you know what I mean). By the way, the sig will change, when I pick up the truck (superstition thing... don't want to jinx myself).

I did the same thing you are.
I traded my 02 3500, HO, 4x4 for an 04 2500 HO, 4x4, lwb.
I kept the 04 for a little over 2 years and never liked near as much as my 02. Anyway, when I began having injector trouble on the 04, its fate was sealed. Just so happened that the stealership(the one that wouldn't cover the injectors under warranty at 80,000 miles) had an 02 2500 HO, 4x4, lwb on the lot. Needless to say, I left the 04 in their shop.

I wanted a 2nd Gen but couldn't bear to part with my 3rd Gen, so now I have both. Best of both worlds, I guess. The '03 is a more comfortable truck, but the '98 is more fun to drive for some reason.

Weeeeelllll, what I did wasn't exactly trade my 05 for this 01..... I traded the 05 (Factory DVD Player, Sirius, Steering wheel radio controls, 6-disc CD player, fog lights, cab clearance lights, air horns) for a 2002 BMW 530i Sport and got $2K to boot... ... I know I know I know (read my 3rd Gen post "Bonehead Move of the Century"). I'm trading this guy in TX my BMW and $500 for the 01. I guess, technically, I made $1500 on the deal, but you can't really compare a 2nd Gen with a 3rd Gen... . two totally different critters (I've had both, and that's my opinion anyway).
