As ugly as an Aztec!

Rocky Mountain Diesel Convention?

Can you believe it. This was my first year going in to buy season tickets. Did I get luckey or what. It's great to see them playing as a team, not as individuals. Every day is a new hero!

No Griffey... ...

No Johnson... ...

No PayRod... ... .

NO PROBLEMS:D

Well beamer (or Alpine or Tiger);

I went to many a Mariner games during my tenure in the Pacific Northwest, but always held on to the Twins, especially when they came to town (and usually lost).

Now that I'm back in the land of a few thousand lakes and a bazillion mosquitoes, all I can add is

TWINS 2

MARINERS 0

(world series titles)

I'm a little hacked off at the Mariner's: They keep me up too late during the week!!!! :D I just can't turn the game off until it's over! I've been a Mariner fan for 11 years, ever since I moved to Seattle in 1990. Fans around here are going to be sooooo disappointed when they finally lose a game. Not tonight though, whooped up on the Padres... ... .

As A-Fraud said a few days ago "Trade Edgar, Freddy and Ichiro, and they could go undefeated next year!" I say keep them, and they will go undefeated!

SODO MOJO!

Mariners... I think they should move to California... since the seachickens changed their minds, I am sure there is room for them down there.

We(the people) voted down a new stadium... twice... and yet our state government built one anyway... paying for it with taxes... yes, some of mine. If the voters had passed the legislation, fine. But they did not. Safeco spent 40 million on having their name on there... did that go to help build it? No!

Now they are building a new football stadium... right across the street... can you say "parking"?

Evan... its easy to say you support them when you do not pay any taxes on things that go to the mariners... when was the last time you took a taxi, rented a hotel room, or pay property taxes or much of anything else? If I still lived at home, and didn't have to pay for it, I might support them, too!

I have never seen you wear a mariners hat or tshirt or coat... at least I am consistent!

I am not a pessimist... I am just a tired taxpayer.

It's still early, but I'll bet the Mariners will eventually get back to their old selves. When it counts, they will blow it!

I definately agree with Rob! What the State of Washington did is WRONG. It just goes to show everyone that we are loosing more of our rights everyday. The government will not even listen to the majority! I'm glad I don't live in Washington, but I do have to put up with the Federal Government.

All of us better start standing up for our rights and freedoms, or we are going to lose them!

Sorry for the tangent. These type of thing make me boil!

sick and tired of the taxes !!!!!!!!!

Damn Straight I am sick and tired of paying for the "homes" of these overpaid brats ( in all sports not just baseball)

Well I have to agree with hating to pay for those overpriced sports figures. I originally was not too thrilled about paying for Safeco field either. But now that I have been to a few games there, I am glad. Safeco is a nice place. Its way nicer that the King Dome ever was. The view is better, the seats are better, etc. etc. -- Bottom line is I never went to games in the King Dome because that just was not my idea of how to spend a nice sunny Sunday afternoon. But now I can get up, see it gonna be nice, and actually consider going to a game as a nice thing to do. Now if only there were some seats left for this season.

Everyone's missing the point!!

I'm not talking about salaries, kingdome, safeco, or some other fri@King complaint. I just wanted to say how well these guys are playing as a TEAM. This is one aspect of the TDR that really pi$$es me off. People start a subject, someone goes off on a tangent. And before you know it there's 3 pages of griping about who makes a better TC/VB.

Stay with the story. If you want to talk about something else, start another post.

Well put...

Since when do I have to wear M's apparel to support the team? That makes no sense...

Let's stay ON TOPIC here, and not get into a political debate.

I find it real easy to support a winning team, but how many supported it ten to 20 years ago? The company I use to work for had a block of season tickets they purchased for the salespeople to use in taking customers to the ball games at the Kingdome. I had a certificate from the Mariners organization for the inaugaural opening night, but since retiring I can't find it in me to fight the traffic and parking problems anymore

In the beginning I had customers begging me to take them to the ball game. After a couple of years I couldn't find anyone to even give the tickets to. I even gave up on them, and I have always enjoyed baseball. I guess I am one of those that is hesitant to support a losing team and anxious to jump on the bandwagon now that they are winning. I don't wear their hats or T-shirts either. Now the only advertising hat I wear is the "U. S. Air Force Retired" hat.

Nice come-from-behind win against Oakland this afternoon (well "yesterday" afternoon for all of you. To me, it's still "today") Too bad Oakland got that 3-run homer in the bottom of the ninth the day before. I'll be going to the next game against Oakland, on the 26th.

Baseball history is being made here. Japanese tourism is skyrocketing in Seattle. That's good for the hotels, airlines, restaurants, and the rest of the local economy.

I just wish Seattle had an NHL hockey team. I suppose I should go check out the minor league team... what are they, the Thunderbirds?
