Just called today and ordered DTT's VB and have just a few questions on the engine end .
If I install Diamond B 370's and a 280hp plate what can I expect to see on the dyno?
Also which should I do first? Are there any problems either way ? Any help would be appriciated.

When I posed a similar question regarding the mods I have on my truck to Joe D, he said around 370 hp is what he commonly sees.

maint. man:

As you can see by our signatures, "Koa
Man" and myself are similarily equipped
on modifications. We both have the TST 280
H. P. plates and the 370 Diamond B inj's.
I did the cam plate first and then the
injectors. In September of last year at
the "Scheid Diesel Rally" in Terre Haute,
Indiana I put my truck on their "Mustang
Dynamometer" and had 381 H. P. and 1069
Torque at the rear wheels. I also had the
governor and AFC spring kits installed at
the same time.

I do not see where you would have any
problems with doing the modifications
in the order we have done them. I think
you do need to have the governor and AFC
spring kits though. The 370 injectors
will give you more smoke than the stock
injectors. You also need a pyrometer gauge!

Go back into the "12 Valve Archives" and
read my old post titled "370 inj's, gov.
sprg. kit,AFC sprg kit,WOW". It was around
10-30-2000. I think that will help answer
alot of your quesions.

Hope this has helped you.

I can pull a GCVW of 15K up a 7% hill at 55 mph and stay under 1250 with O/D locked out. With O/D on EGTs will hit over 1400 easy. I have my plate and AFC housing all the way forward. The PSA has a lot to do with this. It lowered by EGTs about 150 degrees.

maint. man:

Yes, I do think he governor spring kit
helps the 12 valve engines. It allows
the engine to rev alot higher than stock.
Before mine was put in, the governor
started cutting fuel off to my engine
at around 2200 RPM. By the time I hit
2500 RPM that was it, flat spot, no more
fuel! (Fuel+Air=Power)

Now with the governor spring kit, my
engine pulls hard all the way to 3400 RPM.
More "usable" power now.

As far as the EGT'S, I am in about the
same situation as "Koa Man. " However, the
"Psychotty Air Filter" has helped alot.
I can still get to 1300 degrees if I
"push it. "

Hope this you.
