My question is how many of you ETH owners with the VA and injectors slip yor clutch.
I have a ETH with a VA and PS boost mod. and want to add some injectors.
My truck is used for fulltime rv pulling at a GCWR of 19200 lb's.
I am very satisfied with the results of the VA alone, but the bug has bitten and of coarse you always want a little more.
EGT's are in control at this time, but what can I expect if I go to 275's or stage 1's.
I'm not interested in racing, but I do like passing everyone on hills.
I see a lot of these combinations out there. I would appreciate your input.

Poor Cliff only added a aftermarket airfilter and his clutch is now slipping. Now, I'm not saying that is the norm for the ETH, I ran mine with the EZ real hard for about 1000 miles before I upgraded my clutch. The factory clutch never slipped with just the EZ, but probably would have if I gave it more time or pulled some heavy loads. The clutch is the weakest link in the ETH, IMHO.

Pulling that load that you pull I would say it would be a short time if not immediatly your clutch would slip, depending on your driving style. If you add injectors I would also budget for a clutch shortly afterwards.

Last year at the Tulare Ca. truck meet I (with some help from fellow TDR Bombers)installed the 275's and the PE EZ and slipped (smoked)the clutch the first load I hooked up to!!

You can get by with your stock if you don't push it 100%. BUT you will have to upgrade it.
35,000 miles (6months) later I upgraded to the SouthBend FE Clutch.

Thanks for the replies. I have called the popular performance shops and gotten opinions both ways.
I think I will figure a clutch into the equation.
Now are EGT's going to become a problem and need a 4" exaust aswell.
This power disease is getting expensive.
