Hi guys, I just bought a 07-5. 9 and Im loving it so far. The only complaint is poor throttle response at low boost. I know it wont fuel up until it get boost but is there anything to help with this besides buying a Smarty JR. Also what kind of fuel pressure is coming from the in tank pump. I have a new Walbro pump I bought for my old truck and never used it, does this run to high pressure or is it usable... thanks for any input Harley Hauler

I just bought my Smarty jr and only set it to the 40hp setting. It definately woke it up on low throttle. The smarty jr is also on sale now. $445. shipped! GOOD deal.
Fill out your signature so we know what '07, 5. 9 you are driving. Auto? Stick?

Thanks for the input Motorhead, Looks like im going to buy a smarty. . My truck is a 2007, 5. 9 auto trans, 4x4 , 4door, long box with 11. 5 axle. For now its totally stock. .

it is usable [i have one on mine] but you do need to regulate the pressure to no more than ±25psi

Your issue is the software to maintain emmissions compliance. The timing gets retarded on full throttle at lower rpm. The smarty will correct this

Nick and Bob, thanks for your comments and I will be getting a smarty in the future. Nick, do you mind me asking, how did you regulate fuel pressure from the walbro? I had a regulator at one time and the inside hole was so small I didnt think the truck would run right with that. Thanks again for any input. Scott Devries, Harley hauler... . 07 5. 9 4x4 auto, stock for now. .
