ConFE slippage???

After having my HPCR system off a few times I've come to the conclusion the line clamps aboove the intake cover are a waste and put undo stress on the HP fuel lines. You can take a leak free perfectly torqued HP line then clamp it (which pushes/pulls it) and then have leaks from the clamp stresses.

Just my opinion; curious if others have this issue.

I've run mine for a few weeks now w/o clamps and no leaks or problems.

Note that there's only clamps on 3 of the 6 to begin with.

my 05 has clamps on 5 of the lines. The very front one is the only one unclamped. The only thing I noticed is that they deaden the pulses of the injections. The front line is the only one that pulses when it is firing cause the others are held tight.

Also, I had one that I had forgotten to tighten once. The resonating noise from the line vibrating made a noise that was enough to drive one crazy.

Keep the clamps... ...

In fact you should be updating to a clamp for your #6 line (like your 2006 has).

OK; now that I know it's all tight and not leaking maybe I'll get them back on very very carefully trying to avoid stressing the lines. I'll also check out the '06 and see if they have a clamp for my '03.

These are just those little clamps that bolt to the top of the intake cover. Apparently it's getting to the point they have one per line; but in '03 they only used them on lines 3, 4, and 5,... I think it is. Have to look under the hood when I get home.

I believe the intent is to keep the most kinked lines from pulsing vs. the longer run lines that have a straighter shot. All those feed lines are the same length but the ones closer to the rail have a bunch of bends to use up the line over a shorter distance.
