Silicone Intercooler connect hoses?

excellent sevice from fixinrams

It was off of a NTC320. I dont see a hp rating but the 320 might be what that is. If that's the case I'd say it's smaller then ideal.

we are looking at using this with the stock turbo on an 05

I built a setup for an '03 this weekend with a stock turbo with a modified gate and a BHT3B-22 that seems to work really well.

What is your target power level?

Why limit yourself to the HT3B... . I know it is cheap, and it is reliable, but there are better, and faster spooling turbos out there.

The HT3B is perfectly sized for his power level. I don't think the other turbos would offer a return on the $$ at relatively low power levels.

Th 22cm 3B is hard to beat for fast spool up.

All other things aside, you are correct with respect to peak air flow.

But, there are other turbos out there that spool significantly faster than the archaic HT3B.

Besides the S400, how about a list for the people looking at building new sets.

The S400(B2 style) and HT3B are most prevalent. ATS has the Aurora 5000 then there is the Big brother.

those are the readily available turbos that are being used. the are tons of other turbos that are more exotic but are not being used much because of cost.

the HT4B is a good example. . over twice the cost of a HT3B. the extra cost is not without benefit but most will never notice a benefit because they don't tax the primary charger enough to see significant changes in performance.

Anyway you look at it the above listed turbos are a compromise. You compromise performance for price. You compromise spool up for price. etc. etc.

Ron, you are off to a good start. I am sure with that as a baseline, you will compile quite a list.

Once you are done with the compilation, two or three turbos will float to the top... . just be prepared for sticker shock when you find them!!!

Once you get bigger than a B2 there is little or no gain at 500-550 hp. If you go too big you can actually hurt more than help. . a Big brother would fall into this category. You have to have a truck capable of 700+hp to use it and below 500 hp it's not spooled well enough to give the EGT reductions needed for sustained output. It becomes a restriction in the intake/exhaust tract before it's spooled.
