Anybody running High Tech Turbo's HTBG or there three piece exhaust manifold? The manifold looks like an ATS but when I talked to them on the phone they said its there own design. I was lookin into different turbo upgrades to get my EGT's down and the HTB2 sounded good from what people have said about it but they thought there "new" HTBG would work better in my application which is a daily driver and some light towing.

I am running one of High tech's manifolds. We have had several trucks that we have installed 3pc manifolds on and are showing better results with the Htt than with the competition. I have several friends that will back up that claim. I have the Htt. on my personal truck and love it. It is also easier to install than the other one as it uses bolts instead of studs in the top two holes. My Htt was $50 cheaper than the other one as well.

Chris,

I am running the HTBG with a 14 cm exhaust housing on my 2001. I have less than 100 miles on the pickup since installing the turbo but like it so far. The only thing I have pulled is a 21’ Skeeter bass boat so I can’t tell you how the EGT’s are pulling a heavy load. I installed the turbo immediately after upgrading my injectors from 275’s to EDM Mach 1. 5’s so I don’t know which is to blame for this but it is very easy to blow a cloud of smoke with this setup when the EZ is on the most aggressive setting. I will let you know how it works as I get a few more miles on it.

I ran an EZ with mach 1. 5's & it was easy to blow a cloud of smoke with my stock HX 35/12. So I wouldn't contribute it all to the HTBG.

What exactly are the better results? How were the tests conducted? Do you have any some day before/after dyno numbers? Just curious as to what the gains are... .

Thanks,

Doug
