Just upgraded my cell from a HTC Hero to an EVO 4g and it won't pair with the unconnect. Have been on the phone with Uconnect and my phone provider, but no help so far. Anyone else have this problem or found a resolution?

Did you look on the Dodge Owners website to see if the phone and software was compatible with the radio you have?

I have not, however, I have spoken with Uconnect and my provider tech support and there is finger pointing going on. From other forums, I am not the only person with this problem. I notice that the EVO 3D phone has a menu item to select Uconnect. That tells me it's the phone. Still waiting for a call from Uconnect support to do a reset and see if that fixes it.

What radio do you have, and what version is it on?

If you have the capability to burn a CD or DVD, you can update the software, which the dealer would probably charge ya for. .

I`ve updated my RER using the iso image from this site, worked well.

My radio is a AM/FM/SIRRIUS not an entertainment center with nav. I was playing around and the phone and Uconnect paired up. Uconnect support called me and I told them what happened and they told me that the new smart phones are not really compatable with Uconnect and that I could expect intermintent connections and dropped calls. Wonderful!

Interesting. My Samsung Galaxy S 3G will intermittently get dropped calls and even though it says it's paired the Uconnect won't recognize it. What a PITA!!! I've owned the truck about 3 weeks and paired the phone 20 times. Thought it was the phone. . maybe not. Uconnect customer service did not mention smart phone incompatability to me when I called.

Why have a product ie Uconnect that is not compatible with smart phones. Next phone will be an Iphone to see if it works better. Wife's Acura works beautifully with the new iphone but previous iphone was a PITA in the same way mine is now.

My 430 Nav/Sirius Uconnect radio connects with my iPhone 4 with no problems. Used it for 4 weeks now.

I just got an 2011 3500 today, it paired with my Samsung Galaxy 2 instantly and works perfectly on voice commands. . it has nav and all that other junk. .

Uconnect seems to be saying the newer smart phones are too advanced for radios like mine. As I posted earlier, it did fianlly pair and is still working. (knock on wood)

The problem is there is no standard for bluetooth once you get beyond the basic functions. The reason the radios don't work with every phone and every software level is there are only about a million phones! and probably dozens of new ones every day. Until the industry gets together and agrees on a set of standards for all functions, you will never solve this one.

I also noticed you said it's the truck, not the phone. How do you know? Why aren't you all over the carrier or phone maker instead? It just might be they did something different. Why didn't they make sure their phones and software is compatible with every vehicle?

I think this one goes both ways.

I think if you will read the entire thread you will see that I did contact Uconnect, HTC and the provider. All point fingers at each other and don't admit to standards being different, just that the newer phones are not always compatable with the older radios. If I had the NAV system it should work. Last check my pairing was still working.

I was having a problem after I sent my stereo in for repairs. The shop had paired several devices (5 I think) and the stereo would like accept any more. I finally deleted all the old devices it had paired with and it worked fine... I know its a long shot, but give it a shot...

Tsb# 08-001-11 3/5/11 - radio software enhancements. Does anyone know if this flash would solve this issue? I have a samsung galaxy s2 and it to is very intermitent with connecting to my rer radio. Dealer wants to charge me $50 for this flash. Should i go for it?

I've had the same problem with my Samsung Captivate. It works in my '06 Magnum with UConnect, and my wife's VW Golf, but it's a PITA in my 2010 Ram. I now have a Galaxy S3... Going to try it. BTW, has anyone had any luck with the reflash?

Upgraded my samsung galaxy to the new 4. 0 ice cream sandwich android software and all is good. It pairs all the time with u-connect and hasn't dropped any calls . ... . yet
