Well my SPS 62 bearings went today so I called II and they don't have anything in stock, so I called HTT and talked to David and I got set up With a Quick Diesel 64 and a Torque Master inner cooler by Spearco. My question is to the guys running this turbo, what mods do you have and how well does it spool? I was going to go with the Pro Street 66, but desided against it having such a heavy 5th wheel. I am how ever going to send this SPS back to I. I. and get it re built to either a Silver 64 or 62 to have a spare turbo. I'm excited to see what the new set up will do for my EGT's... I want to thank David for great customer service. I. I. are great guys too and will continue to do business with them I just needed something ASAP... . Thanks to both HTT and I. I. I'll let ya'll know how this set up is... . :D
 
I have the Quick 64 and spoolup is awesome with the mods I have. With my box at the half power setting I made 475hp at 50psi. I made 589 on the high setting at 38psi. It is a great charger I'm real happy with it.
 
Mine isn't the quick spool, but it doesn't spool any worse than the PDR 40 did. Haven't towed with it yet, but so far, I've been real happy with it. :D

All fueling mods in sig.
 
Yeah my SPS 62 was a awesome turbo... Kept the EGT's around 900 degrees when I hual 2 tons of water at 7k in altitude

Well after I got it out yesterday I took the clocking bolts out and took the compressor housing off and the wheel sheared off. The only thing that I can think of was I got cut off the other day buy a little black car while getting on the highway and had to let off and barked it pretty good and maybe it weakend the shaft and then accelerating the other day it let loose. The exhaust side is still fine a still spins so the bearings are alright I think. I'm going to send it back and have it built to a Silver 64 if the one runs good on that truck their beta testing now. I'm going to post pics a little later...

OMG!!! It's a whole new truck. I went up to Albuquerque NM this last Saturday and that new Sperco inner cooler keep my EGT's down around 700 degree's crusing 80 MPH against a nasty head wind. The new AFE stage II intake and inner cooler and HTT HT71 series Turbo is a awesome combo. I'll NEVER KNOCK I. I. there stuff is awesome too, but this quick diesel 64 is awesome!!!! I recommend this set up to anyone looking at a new set up...
 
I have the HTT 64/14 with the clipped wheel (not sure what the quick diesel is - been away from the board for awhile)



I have my TST set at twins 05 (full fuel at 24psi) and it hits pretty quick.

why did you want to go from II to the quick diesel? was it just because it was availabe at the time for you( and why 62 to a 64)? What kind of differences did you get between the old turbo and new one. Can you tow with it? does it surge?
 
Yes, becuase I. I. didn't have a turbo available right away, but I'll never put down their products... . I'll continue to buy their products. I have nothing but the highest respect for the people at both I. I. and HTT... You can't lose either way... To answer the other question, I haven't towed with it, but it's as smoooth as glass as far as spooling goes.

Silver 64 spools very quick with my fueling. With everyone talking about bigger turbos and lag, I was really worried. Now I think I shoulda gotten the SilverBullet66... :-laf

I've only gone half throttle and hit 45psi and 1100 degree max temps so far. Haven't pushed hard yet cause I haven't installed my studs yet. I'm extremely happy with this turbo. It sounds like a freakin' jet too... ;)
