My experimental PowerMax ball bearing turbo has been nixed in favor of a Super Stock 62. I wanted to hear what people have to say about their results with this unit. I hope to have my S300 replaced with the SS 62 this weekend at Performance Turbo Motorsports.
 
I would like to here some feedback on this as well. I can not decide between the HTT SS62 or the SPS62 from I. I.



I know there was a large group buy a while back on the SPS and maybe some people can give me feedback on these turbos now since they have racked some miles on them now
 
I Have The Super Phat Shaft 62 . Cools Nice - Runs Good - Just Wish It Would Come On As Fast As The Stock One. But All After Market Turbo's Come On A Little Later. But Over All A Good Turbo - I Bought It From Mass Diesel .
 
lonewolf, do u have a 12 housing on your sps? how r ur egts when towing in o. d. ?

IF I KEEP THE TST ON 4/4 AND I DRIVE NORMAL TOWING 10,000 LBS IT STAYS AROUND 1000 - 1050 , BUT EVEN IF I 'M FLYING IT NEVER GOES OVER 1100 - 1125 - SO ITS GREAT TURBO WHEN YOUR TOWING , I JUST WISH IT LITE A BIT FASTER LIKE THE STOCK ONE DID - BUT OVER ALL I WOULD BUY IT AGAIN - ONLY THING I WOULD HAVE LIKED BETTER IS A STAINLESS STEEL ONE , BUT ALOT MORE $$$$
 
my sps is a 62/14 and my egts towing 10k lbs would stay at 1200-1250 in o. d. on a flat road. thats with comp on 1x2,2x3, and 3x3. im trying to figure out if its my pyro or my comp or if i should downsize my housing to a 12.
 
Well If Its A 04. 5 And Up - 1250 Is Fine For Towing , Run It And Hold On , I Think The 12 Housing Would Be A Slightly Better For Towing Though - Just My 2 Cents - I Am Trying To Get My Turble To Whistle Like The Big Trucks Do And I Can't Do It.
 
If all goes well I'll be breaking in my HTT SS62 this weekend with a new three piece manifold. I'll let you know how it works out. I'm going to get on a Mustang dyno that makes resistance as soon as I can. I hit 452 HP\902 TQ with my S300 turbo (on a non-resistance type dyno screwed me out of 10 lbs of boost) with out water/meth.

I'm hoping for 500-525 HP & 1050-1150 TQ with my SS62, new manifold, meth, and a more efficient Mustang dyno.
 
lonewolf-im running the AMSOIL EAAU4510 air filter and she SCREAMS:D, the stock box with K&N panel wasnt near as loud. what TST box do you have that sets on 4/4 ? mine has one number setting. :confused:
