My 2004 3500 4x4 with auto transmission would not down shift correctly to any gear and had error code P1751, p1753. I replaced the TTVM while the negative battery post were disconnected. After the TTVM was installed I connected the batteries and turned the key switch on for 30 sec. while having the throttle to the floor. THIS DID NOT RESET THE SYSTEM AND STILL HAD THE SAME PROBLEM error code P1751, P1753. Had to go to a transmission shop and they they reset the TTVM and it repaired the problem, but after driving 303 miles coming home, the same problem came back!!

Does anyone have any thoughts

What truck are you working on and what is a TTVM? MY 2004 do not have a TTVA (maybe that is what you are calling a TTVM) motor like the codes suggest.

If you have a 2005 or newer truck with those codes the issue is could be in the valve body, specifically the throttle valve assembly, or a bad plug\harness connection.

Sorry for the mistake. My 2004 was stolen!! I am working on a 2005 and yes they call it a motor or actuator bolts onto the trans and has one harness plugged into it. I was thinking maybe the harness also but an not able to get to it today. But do you know a way of resetting error? My tester will nor reset it and only the transmission shop tester was able to reset.

You have to have a scanner that will clear it, a lot of the cheaper ones will only read and not clear the codes.

My scanner will erase the error code but not the error code in the Seamens Actuator on the transmission. I was at a Les Schube on the way home and they tried to clear it while I waited for tires and it would not clear ether.

The codes are all stored in the TCM portion of the ECU. If you erase DTC's and it comes right back that means the error condition still exists. It is possible you have a VB issues that is eventually burning out the TTVA motor, or, you got a sun-standard TTVA motor.
