Cool Blue Hose

Auto to manual conversion

HTT has had the LDP wheel for a long long time, they just haven't put them on every turbo going out the door until recently. The phat shaft that II uses is the same thing as the LDP wheel. As it was told to me the LDP wheel came first and then guys at II named it for their product the phat shaft. I am not saying anyone copied anyone else or anything like that all I am saying is the LDP wheel has been around for a long time.

i just ordered a super phat shaft 62 from II. i was looking at the HTT high tech series, until i called II they told me they have a different compressor housing than what HTT uses. if the 2 companies turbo's are identical i'm gonna be  . II's turbo was $400 more than HTT"s. II did provide great cusomer service though and answered alot of questions i had, i ordered a turbo and exhaust manifold from them last thursday. i called them today to get a tracking # because i have a pull next wednesday and they told me they hadn't shipped it yet because they didn't have any ats manifolds in stock, but they told they would find me one from a competitor and ship it to me.

Just my opinion but the people I deal with and service that they provide they would not have waited till I called back 5 days later to tell me they didn't have the parts I had ordered! JMO

yeah thats what i kind of thought. haisley and EEP are only a couple hours away, i would have just ordered it from them but i wanted to give II some business for being so helpful on the phone

As long as it's a super series, say like you have a SPS 62, you can upgrade to a SPS66 or if you have a second gen a SPS64. When I asked about upgrading to a 66, they said it would be $400 with all new seals, bearing and all the good stuff, nothing is re-used...

Under the "another country heard from" category... .

The description of the new Borg Warner, S300 mentioned above (twin exhaust ports... improved oil drain ... . adjustable waste gate, etc) sounds identical to BD's Super B. At least it's the same as the secondary (top) turbo I got with my BD Twins, which they claim is their Super B.

Who had it first? ... ... Borg Warner :-laf

I have tried the II ps 62/14 and was happy with the outcome when I mashed the pedal down. I would have second thoughts now after I checked the shaft play in the turbo. I have had friends that have had bad relations with II and they did not try to even make it right. So if I would buy another turbo for my 3rd gen I would like to know that customer service is on the top shelf.

anyone else done the up-date from a sp to a PS 66 ?

I am on the list to do the upgrade to a Prostreet66 - But with some other mods that I wish not to disclose... Thats what holding me up right now, Last time I talked to paul they were about 2-3 weeks out on my turbo.

Just tried out a 64. 80 low pressure drive wheel combo. Very slow to spool and cruise egt went up 100 degrees with a very slow boost response time to load at any rpm. Very smokey to accellerate in city driving conditions. Didnt see any gain to warrent the turbo. I have a 64. 80 that i have modded that works well for me. If i had the extra bucks or if they would be willing to work with me i would have liked to perform the same mods to this turbo as my other to see how much i could gain. I can say that when your on top of the charger it does work well. Just not much if any over my modded 64. Not starting any bashing just my observation to help other decide witch way to go. Hope this helps others.

Come now... If I did they wouldn't be "secret" :p

You know I have to do something after the sting to the ego at TST's dyno :-laf :-laf
