A buddy called tonight needing some help in finding a company other than DC to order a front hub/bearing assembly. He has a 96 3500 4x4 with a bad bearing. He was told by NAPA that he could only get it from DC. The price is around $500. We are leaving for an Alaska trip in a week so he needs the info ASAP please. If anyone has a part #, that would be great. Thanks for your time. Rob

If the truck has 4 wheel ABS, Mopar is your choice. If not I'm suprised NAPA didn't have it. I had to replace mine, but was able to get them from Mopar for $430. 00 per side. Maybe have NAPA look up the 2500 part. It should be identical to the 3500. The only difference is the front wheel adapters. -Glen

I just replaced the hubs on my truck. Napa had em for around 220 a copy or there abouts. I have a 2500 4x4 though. Should be the same up front though...

You got a lazy counter guy. I've replaced several from Napa, a little over $200/ea, part number BRGBR930405. Front abs makes no difference.

Illflem,

Does the ABS sensor ring come with the hub assembly or do you need to press it off of the old hub? I am getting ready to do this job. Thanks for the part number.

I had this same problem with mine. I could find the hub assembly for a 2500 at the parts stores but could not find the 3500 hub. Ended up calling all the local chrysler dealers in the area and found one on the shelf at a dealer that doesn't even sell trucks. I think it cost me $275.

So I don't know if the 2500 is different than the 3500 but it does have a different part # and you can not put the bearings in the hub yourself, they are pressed in and I couldn't find just the bearings anyway.

Thanks all for all your help. My buddy called and stated that he ordered two new ones from DC at about $275/per. The $500 price includes rotors. He should have the parts tomorrow. He did state that Parts America does have them for 3500's and he would try and get that part #. The price was not much cheeper than DC. Thanks again Rob

I bought one for my 95 2500 - no ABS - from my dealer for $210.

Notice NEW TRUCK in sig!!! Feels funny buying a truck without even seeing it. Maybe I'll get it tomorrow. Man, they are hard to find! At least what I wanted.
