Does anyone have part numbers for this? A good outlet to get the part? Truck is down and out until I get a replacement. Non of the local parts shops can find a parts listing and the dealer is just plain nuts!

i did a quick search and found it at auto zone online, HA590018 $307 for the non abs SP580102 right abs SP580103 left abs at $362

i got my non abs hubs from the city sales desk for the distributor for the local chevy and dodge dealers (certain year chevys are the same but i am not sure of the exact range, mine were labeled chevy 3500) for my 2wd C&C (which uses 4wd hubs) a year ago for $225-250 i can't remember exactly, but i am a shop and got jobber pricing

I got a couple for my cousin's '97 a few years ago at my local Carquest. Sorry I don't have part numbers in front of me as all the records are at the shop. The jobber price I paid was $160ish I think.

i just bought a front hub this morning for my 02 and it ran me $270 from wholesalemopar.com. It's a site run by a dealer, but the best prices i could find anywhere. The closesest anyone else got was $370

Hey Afterburner,
So I'm guessing that your problem was unit bearing failure, not ball joint failure?

At least the bearings are easier to fix than the ball joint.

Later,
Joe

PS, your PM box is full :)

Napa just called and said they have it in stock for $284. 00. This happened after I called with the part # furnished above. This is the same Napa that said they had no application listing the other day! HUMMmmmmmm:-laf

Thank-you to all

Yeah some of the parts guys are pretty incompetant. I usually look in the books or go in Napaonline.com before I call them to get a part sent over. Easier than trying to explain to the parts guy what I need.

The Napa part did not match up or fit #930405. This assembly fits only very early 24 valve equiped trucks. #@$%!

The truth is that the '98 3500 series trucks can have any one of five different hub assemblies identifiable only by the VIN #. This application has Dodge part #5073537AA @ $327. from

http://wholesalemopar.com

with a little luck I will have the Ram back together next week. :-laf

For my truck 2001 4x4 w/ ABS - Napa website part # BRG BR930203 is $269 each.

w/o ABS is part # BRG BR930503 for $219

However, I buy all my bearings, etc from www.ebatmus.com - lowest prices I've ever found. You have to know your part number though. (use advanceautoparts or napaonline to find part numbers)

BR930203 is $217. 97

BR930503 is $175. 41

I just ordered two for my truck. Now if I can just get the old ones off... .

Can someone press out the bearing from the housing and get the number off them for me?

When I worked at a gear shop we cross referenced just the bearings and found a place to get just the bearings instead of the expensive whole unit. I remember the bearings were only around 15 dollars each. We did it this way quite a few times but that was about 4 years ago. If someone can get the number off the bearing I will check with the gearshop I worked at and find the bearing make and numbers again for all to save $$$$$$$$$$. :)

It only takes a couple minutes to press old ones out and new ones in. If I remember right the replacement bearings were all metal also no plastic roller cage.

Just got one of my hubs partially off. This wasn't exactly the plan...

Sorry no part numbers that I could find, not in the usual places for bearings anyways.
