How much is this going to end up costing me? Should I ask the dealer to replace under warranty since I have done NOTHING but smooth highway/city driving. I can just hear the part guy,. . "Yes sir, that will be 125 bucks for your 5 dollar piece of plastic. "

Give the dealer a shot first. I had the same thing happen on my previous GMC. They replaced it under warranty without so much as a question.

Just curious, have you witnessed the center caps fly off the vehicle or is someone actually stealing them while your parked at the store? Please understand, I'm not disputing you just giving food for thought.

However, if you've witnessed them flying off the wheels then a warranty claim should be honored.

I know my dealer would make good on that claim. If nothing else, they have been known to go out on the lot and remove from a truck in stock to make good on something defective. I whitnessed the service tech remove the oli cap off "my trade" while it was sitting on the fromt line (for sale) and put it on a unit that the guy in front of me was stating that his was left off during an oil change. I really hope that the used one was replaced before a test drive was done. All i could think of is what a mess that would make! :-laf
