Large Toyaulers And Warranty Issues???????

6 volt battery question?

Just got my montana back after having all new magnets put on because of a dead short and that got rid of the short and after a 15 mile trip home the two hubs on the right side were both a 210 degrees and the left's were 130-132 degrees I'm going to back off the brake shoe's alittle on the right, Do you think this will help? I feel 200 plus is to hot for a trip to colorado & las vegas this week, everyone's imput is welcome, Thank's Don

I would think the 210 is too hot so if the heat comes from a dragging brake then for sure be backed off.

It seems though one would set the brakes so there is no drag. Are you sure the bearings are not preloaded to much?

Edit: Just thought,, dija check the temps immediatly after you stopped. If so then I would think maybe the left brake (the 120) is not working.

sidewinds can make one side run hotter especially with a big box as a 5er or even a TT. Less than max sidewall air pressure in your trailer tires can help make a difference in hub/tire temps in those sidewinds. I've had trailer tires/hubs run hotter on the down hill side of the trailer on roads with lots of crown.

Hub or drum temp? 210 deg. is way too warm for hub bearing temps. My guess is too much bearing preload.

A drum temp of 210 deg. is normal for light traffic situations, hotter in mountain grades/stop & go traffic, etc.
