So you guys with the H2 rims with the stock BFG hummer tires, how have they held up over time? Too much sidewall flex? I tow somewhat, usually in the 7-8K range. I need tires soon and can get new H2 take-offs with either the BFGs or Goodyear Extreme terrains for less than a new set of tires. Deal or no deal?

Oh yes, they are great! No problems at all. They do stick out a little bit, so I put some flares on, but it wouldn't be necessary. Still haven't found hub caps that fit though.

I have 20K on my Hummer H2's and BFG's. My tires still look like new, tread wear is minimal. I am anal about tire pressure, so they get checked often and are kept at 50#s front and rear. I tow heavy loads of 12K or more many times and no problems. Their weight rating is every bit as good as an E-rated tire, and truthfully the sidewalls may be softer but the difference to me is minimal. I did not like the stock tires whatsoever, they just did not seem right from day one. My fuel mileage did not change when I went to the BFG's, no gains-no losses. The best improvement I saw was in rpm's, they got into the sweet spot of 1900-2000 rpm at 65-75mph, brfore that I was running 2300-2400rpms's with the stock tires.

I experienced some pogo-ing and a little sway with the stock tires, but it was quickly answered by installing Bilstein shocks and Firestone air bags.

Had the H2 wheels and bfg315s for 1. 5 years on my 96 and now they have been on the 06 since new 8 months ago and there a good choice in my opinion.

There so good in the soft sand aired down to 15 psi out on the capecod beaches.

Thanks for voting and the replies! Keep them coming! The poll is now showing 7 for and 7 against. You guys aren’t going to make this easy, LOL!

I just bought 4 Cooper Discoverer ATR in the 315 70 17 size. I liked the BFG KO's but liked what I had read about these. My brother has my old H2 rims and tires on his 2wd (rubs a bit on the front wheel well liners)
