What happens if it were salt water?

Salt water conducts electric. I would have killed it when the water got to the battery or ing switch most likely.

I have seen quite a few H1s with the word "HUMMER" under the doors on rocker panels. I think they came that way from the factory.

HMMWV can handle salt water. They do it here at Camp Pendleton during the license course. They drive them in the surf using the fording kit.



P. S. Only Marine Corps HMMWVs have the fording kit.
