Competition I need a new automatic transmission

Off Roading Carli Bumpstop test

Blew this baby out last Thursday night at the track - figured you guys could appreciate the money in the hole there since these things cost enough. Was a rather loud pop at 80+lbs. Turbonetics has been great and they're covering it in full!! :)

I had a hunch he was overcharging all his customers, now I know its a fact. :-laf

You should really find a new place to hide your money, Looks like in the aftercooler wasn't a good spot.

I know that's right!! Only had around 1500 miles on it when it blew - crazy stuff I guess. It's going back tomorrow and should be back by the end of next week - I HOPE!!

The funny thing about this intercooler deal is that a while back many were touting how the BD and Spearco intercoolers were going to be the Cats Meow, since they were supposed to be great quality, and how the Banks Technicoolers were somehow suspect. So far the only ones I have seen that hold up are the Banks units.

are all third gen intercoolers plastic? are they better than the 2nd gens ? will the 3rd fit in the 2nd?

no. . . there was a run in 05 where they did have plastic end caps, however in 06 it was reverted back to the metal ones. most of the plastic end cap IC should have been replaced since the first venture to 35#+ usualy blew the cap off.

i want a new cooler for the 03 but i have ran 75psi through the stocker and it hasnt blown yet !!!! yet!!!!! haha:rolleyes:

yeh, I know LOL. I am still running the same stocker that I put in the truck 68,000 miles ago. It has seen quite a bit of boost and keeps taking it. LOL :-laf

Keep talkin!!! :-laf LMAO! Is it back together yet?

i will be swinging the engine back in on tuesday, my pump and injectors are at industrial injection, i just ruined a connector tube tonight so i need to come up with another one, other than that i just need valve springs and a front main seal that didnt come in my complete kit haha!!! i had the engine blue printed to the middle of factory spec so i should be able to run it pretty hard right after the rings break in...

They're worth it for sure. This one has been covered under warranty with no questions asked. You can push a lot of boost through a stocker but you're not going to cool as much as with an aftermarket cooler like BD or Spearco.
