Here's another couple video clips I made from my local spot down here north of LA. This place is huge but not much extremely challenging terrain. The black truck is my cousins and it too is a '98 12 valve like mine. Believe it or not but he bought this truck from an old man who garaged it all it's life and when my cousin bought it, it only had 4400 miles on it!! :--) What a find! Anyway, here is some wheelin' we did when he was down here last November.

If you are looking for a bit more of a challenge... . go around the back side of Alamo mountain and come up the back side on Lockwood MTN trail, and Miller Jeep trails. Miller drops you off a the top of Alamo mtn, where you come down the front side and exit through the OHV park. You don't need to pay for access if you come through this way.

If you haven't been over the trials, they are not that difficult. At one point we got a stock avalanche through there with minimal body damage (the rock which caused the damage has since been pushed out of the way). I have not been through there in a few years... but I doubt it has changed that much.

I have heard that it would be a little sketchy coming through that trail with my truck due to the width but I have been surprised myself what my truck will fit through. I have yet to find this trail though, been interested in it for a while now. :)

Take the freeway up to the Frazier park exit, head west (?) to "Lake of the Woods", make a left at the only major road... . follow the signs to the ranger station (you will have to make one more left a mile or three down the road... . there are signs, just follow them). They have free OHV maps of the area. You might also ask at the entrance booth to the OHV park, they might have them there too.

It would be a tight fit for a dodge... but like I mentioned, we got a Avalanche through there (which is pretty damn wide).

I've ridden Miller up and down several times on a bike, but it's been a couple years. Every time I go through there, it looks more and more mild (am I just getting better?). I don't think I'll be doing that with 160" wheelbase. Although while riding it, I wasn't thinking about doing it in my truck, I think that turn near the top will be challenging, and the rut near the top will also be challenging.
