darn tootin'---I do more huntin' than fishin, but gettin' outdoors with ol Ma Nature is what it's all about, but I do like to bring home the bacon also----chris

Hi

RAD DOCK

If it takes a CTD to haul your catch and the game you bagged, you must be a serious hunter and fisherman indeed.

Many a moon ago I did a little catfish fishin' and pheasant hunting

in Kansas and have some fond memories of it.

I'll be Pmailing you for a copy of your articles.

Get some Gidgits!

Thanks Bro Tom, good to see you in here. I will check on those sites . I'm starting to get a real good responce to this Article Bill

Its an art.

Do I hunt and fish?I thought everybody did that!

The only bad thing about my cummins is it scares away the deer. No,I can't take it in the woods.

If you can't get a deer in Alabama you have no business in the woods. They are everywhere.

Who Doesn't!

Here is a couple of pictures of my 2001 Ram 2500 V10 4X4 Scud Runner. Of course the truck is of secondary importance!

http://www.redilynx.com/~john/pictures.htm

The V10 is quiet enough for running around in the woods.

My New 2500 HO 4X4 QC SB SLT Laramie is at the dealer, it is REALLY quiet!!! I am going to go pick it up tomorrow if it is up to snuff!

For those who are interested... . The deer in the pictures was stolen from the taxidermist shop prior to mounting by apparently a disgruntled ex-employee.

I am offering a reward for the racks return, and a good down payment for a new truck if I can find the person who took my sons first big buck ( His 2nd Kaibab deer).

If you see this one hangin on someones wall, let me know!

He was notified of the theft on his birthday!:(

Radar Doctor,

I do alot of hunting, mostly w/ the bow and fish not as much as I would like to. I am going to be in KS. in Meade county for gun season this year Dec. 4th. Me and a buddy drew tags for the non res. deer season. I hope to lighten your buck pop. by taking a 175 class or better hammer from the farm we are going to. From what I hear there are some brutes running around. Out here in eastern L. I. we got some real bruisers too and alot of antis also so hunting is sometimes more of a military commando duck and hide procedure. Oh well we still do alot of damageLOL

I hunt and fish as much as possible. A guy I work with goes on hunts in Kansas for Lohman Products films. What a second job. Go hunting, give a seminar, go hunting somemore.

Like to fish, live to hunt. Top priorities: family, hunting and fishing, Cummins powered truck, and maybe some work to support my habits.

I don't do enough of either, but love both,,,,,having a hard time finding a place to dove hunt this year, dadgum leases are expensive... . and bird huntin is my favorite... . like to fish too, but I like bay fishing and don't make it doen to the coast enough to really fish alot... .

Hunting and Fishing...

Thought i'd add a bit . We opened the Dove Season here in Kansas Sept 1st. The limit is 15 Birds per day. There was 4 of us and Starting on Sunday 1st of Sept we 4 got a limint evey day. some days were long days. I went through 129 shells the first 2 days. That's 4. 3 shells per Bird... I wonder what the average is ? Do you know Mr Golden? We Grilled 150 Birds the next Sat Nite and and all had a great time... . Bill

Hunting and fishing

You bet! First day back at work after a three week moose hunting

trip. I shot a 53" bull now I have to cut it up and get it into the

freezer. I'll post some pictures once things are put away.

CONGRATULATIONS SPEEDO

I just knew you were one of the 10%. Thats 10% of the hunters get 90% of the game. 53 inches is awsome, especially compared to the other legal requirement, a fork horn.

Moose meat all winter and of course salmon. It don't get much better than that.

How about pictures of your camp, the terrain, etc.

Did the bears leave you alone this time?

I spent two days in Wasilla while you were hunting. Dined on fresh moose at my nephews. He was lucky enough to get a cow. His second year in a row for him or his hunting partner to kill a moose.

Reply Hunting & Fishing

Hey Speedo, Was in ALASKA 5 YRS ago with my 95 Ram. Was there about 4 weeks. Ate a Lot of Halibut and love it , down on the Keni, My favorite town was Palmer AK. Spent a lot of time in the Library there. Next time i go , I'm going to Fish. . The Nurses at Keni scared me to death of fishing. We were eating in one of the local restruants there in Keni and they were talking about removing 9 hooks out of Fisherman that morning... My regret is i didn't do it anyway... Next time i will try it

Alaska hunting

WyoJim, hope your trip to Alaska was a good one. I had hoped to meet another TDR member while you were up here. We did

have a bear come in after our meat again but it didn't survive, I

didn't get this one though. I did get some pictures posted.

Gus, I looked at all your pictures of the hunt in readers rigs.

That looks like one heck of a hunt into some wild country with a pretty plush set up. Them Buggys let you make it plusher. Our wilderness camps were always using pack horses and we didn't have room to pack 20# propane bottles. Oh if I was only young enough to be full of that much Pi$$ and vinager again. Most people don't realize the planning and effort it takes to put in a successful back country camp like that.

I have killed two moose. One with a Bow and Arrow across the Gray's River in Wyoming. Just me and my wife and she couldn't get across the river. So I had to butcher it and pack it across the river in a back pack by myself. Now there was a long exhausting day. And you guys Alaskan moose are way bigger than ours. What a job. Well done.
