Happy labor day!!!

Update- we survived the rain but the river got us. Started taking on water this afternoon so I bugged out. Once the tide recedes I'll be able to go in & see what'll need to be done. I'd appreciate y'all's prayers.

Stay safe. My niece was able to drive out after several hours of running into dead ends, but finally got out and over to san antonio. I guess it really helped to know the roads and the back roads.

Bill Lins and any other's that are affected by what is going on in S. TX.,
You are in my thoughts and prayers! You folks are tough and must come from excellent stock (family heritage).
I am very impressed in those that are coming in from great distances to help, like the Cajun Navy and other Navy's, bringing their own boats and vehicles, on their dime, to help rescue those that are stranded in or on top of their homes. The folks that sacrifice themselves and their property to help other's that are in serious trouble are TRUE AMERICAN'S!!!! The government didn't have to take their money away and find someone to do that job, they did it on their own. And, they seem to be quite organized. With all the crap that is going on in this country, those folks that are helping save those that are stranded show what this country can be at it's best!!!! Thank you!!!!

Nothing like Houston, but we got a LOT of rain last night. This used to be the road I live on. At one point the water was over the bridge railing.

Yeah, we're good. That's just the road I live on about a half mile from the house. I don't have to go through there to get out. I just figured it had been over the road and drove down there to look at it. I didn't expect for the road to be GONE, though. It would have to come a Noah flood to flood our place. I live about 30 miles north of Nashville just outside of Springfield. Lots of hills and hollows. Most folks had enough sense not to build in the low areas so not a lot of home damage. I did hear about a fellow that had put a mobile home down by a creek and it got washed downstream a few hundred feet. There will probably be some more pics posted here. This is a local small time news website:

I went back down to the creek this morning. Found our missing road....

I'm sitting where that pavement should be. Looks like the water just picked it up and
carried it about 40' downstream all in one piece. It's an amazing force.
