Has anyone seen/used the Husky floor mats from Geno's and the mats you can buy from Dodge? I want mats that are both functional and look good. From the pictures on the Geno's site the Husky mats don't look to fit correctly and are kinda cheap looking. Which do you guys prefer?

Thanks for any insight,

I have the Mopar slush mats and I like them they are good quality and fit good. I've used Mopar mats in my 92 Dakota and had two pairs in ten years and they have held up very well. I haven't really seen the Husky mat so don't have an opinion.

Ray,

I have Husky mats. They seem to fit okay. I never really looked close at anything else so can't comment otherwise. Even with the little nubbins, they slide around unless you glue some antiskid material to the bottom. They do a fair job at catching most of the crud (manure) I drag into the truck.

I have the Husky floor MATS, not the Husky LINERS which look very "Work Truck-Ish". The mats are nice, they fit well and hold a large volume of liquid if you spill anything.

Mat's on Geno's?

Do you guys have the ones from Geno's or do you have a different model? There are the only ones I can seem to find.

I don't know which ones I have, I bought them from the local truck accessory shop I will check tomorrow (because I don't have the trck right now) I tell ya. I paid around $99can for them if that helps.

I also have the Dodge slush mats. They fit well and seem to hold up to wear and tear with no problem. The one on the drivers side does slip a little, but not excessively.

Fox Weatherboots.

These are the only way to go IMO, especially if you live in a snowy climate. http://www.foxweatherboots.com/

A little pricey, but when the snow melts off your boots the water runs right out the door and doesn't puddle in the floormat. They also protect the center hump much better from a muddy boot than the others I have seen.

I wouldn't hesistate to buy these again. I can post a pic if anyone is interested.

I've had the black Husky liners and was happy with them. The only negative thing, and its a small one, was that they are hard to keep looking clean. I still have a set in my Bronco but for the Dodge, I tried the NPI Catch-Alls. They are scotchguarded and have a rubberized bottom to hold the liquid in. To clean them, you just hose them off and let them air dry. Very good fit to the contour of the floor. I think I paid about 75 bucks for them at a local 4x4 shop.

Husky mats

I have husky floor mats in all my rigs. Black, Grey and Tan. They all work great IMHO. The black ones are hard to keep looking clean but black is a good neutral color. The Tan and the Grey don't match those interior colors perfectly. They'll last forever and they'll keep the carpet looking good though. I also bought mine from Cabela's after looking at several sources. I think I've bought six sets in all. First set back in '93. Good luck. There's lots to choose from out there now. ;)

Cooker,

I would be interested in seeing pix of your floor liners. Are the surfaces hard plastic? It's hard to tell on the website but that's how it looks.

Thanks!

fireman56,

Do the Dodge mats line the entire floor like the Huskys and Weatherboots?

I don't have the truck at the moment. I should have it back WED/THUR. I'll post a pic then.

As far as the mats go, they shell is a hard molded plastic. The center area where your feet rest is a real close knit carpet. The carpet is not plush and it doesn't trap dirt all to easy. They are extreamly easy to clean, just take them out and hose them off.

FWIW - I had (or have rather, they are in the basement) the Dodge mats. I don't like them at all. Once the carpet material becomes dirty I found them hard to clean, and they dirt seemed to stain the carpet. It is very difficult to get them to look like new again, IMHO. IF you live where snow and road salt are a problem, or where you may be getting in the truck with muddy boots often, the Dodge mats are not the way to go, IMO

I use the Husky liners in all the vehicles I have owned the last 7 years. They are great and I have them front and rear on my club cab. Ihave the gray ones and I love em

SmokinGator, The Dodge mats cover the whole floor except for the trans. tunnel. They are pliable rubber and they hold a good bit of liquid ( like if one of your buddies spills some of his refreshments ). Plus they they have the little Ram head logo moulded in, if you like that sort of thing.

One other thing, the drivers side mat has a plastic clip that holds it in place. Don,t accidentally toss it with the wrapper like I did.

I use the Mopar mats, both the slush and carpeted, depending and love the fit and color match,,My drivers side has a tendency to slide, but after all you'd slide to if a size 13 was on you all day ...

Fox Weatherboots

I would also have to vote for the Fox Weatherboots. I have the front and rear and not a speck of dirt can get on the original carpeting.
