what happened to the illustrations on this?

Agreed. Those pics are the ONLY reason I tackled this job when my old truck needed the fix. Would be a shame if those pics can't be restored to this thread.

FYI back in 2007 ID2500Ram posted a PDF of the first page of this thread, including the pictures, here: http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ll-years-101/ive-got-heat-135470/#post1343164

Has anyone used the Dorman replacement doors?

Any other sources for the doors besides Chrysler, Heat Treater, and Blend Door?

I bought one Dorman door and did not like it. I then bought the rest from Heater treater. The dorman door is all plastic and not even close to being as well built as the metal heater treater doors. I replaced all "5" doors with Heater Treater doors and highly recommend replacing all as the foam was as bad or worse than my daughter's junky volkswagen beetle. If you have bits of foam coming out your vents, that the factory door's foam falling apart. FWIK, the factory doors and the dorman doors will more than likely break again. The foam on "all" the factory doors were in pretty sorry shape also! From what I saw, the factory doors and the dorman doors are not any better than the original ones that failed. With the heater treater doors, you get metal to fix the breakage problem. You also get a much better quality foam to seal the door's chambers. With the heater treater doors, you pay more, but you get more, and it done for the life of the vehicle.

In short, when you take things apart and see the broken factory doors, you will understand why you can't get air to the dash or heat when you turn the dials.

Hey just wondering if i am doing something wrong? The pictures in your post wont come up.

No, I think scbroder moved or deleted the photos, or maybe the host site for the images did something. I keep wondering if I should edit this thread, but hope that they will come back.
