What size housing would be recommend, for a 35/40 with a HT3B, in a set of twins. Looking for decent spool up with occasional towing duty. I want a wastegated housing and after looking around I found a bunch of different options. What are most people happy with a 12cm, 14cm, 16... ... ... ect. I hoping some people will chim in before I order one and end up disappointed with my choice... ... ... Thanks for any advise. Also, this is for 24v AUTO, not a stick, I will not be able to just "choose" my rpm's.

Alot of people run 14cm housings. They spool well and can handle hp in the 500-520 range without getting ridiculous drive pressure. I've run Dodgezilla/14cm secondaries in two setups and like them. I am currently running a 14cm non/wg housing with a custom wg mounted to the housing to make the plumbing easier. I live up in the foothills and lag can be annoying. The 35/40 lights early and cools well without getting excessive heat before boost builds.

Werent you building a PS 62 setup? Did you ever get it done?

I built an SPS62/K31 combo a while back. It worked very well. The K31 was a drawback as it only moves around 75lbs/per min. I am making another set now. I am trying to make up my mind whether to use an SPS62 over B2 setup and live with a little bit of lag, or use the DZ/14 with the B2 and live with a bit less top end power. Tradeoffs sort of suck.

Keep the low end & enhance the top end power with some water/meth. The low end makes it too much fun to drive.

I am running a 14cm housing on top as well. It really helped reign ion drive pressure issues.

The 12cm housing was just fine with a modded wastegate and M4's. Spool wass real fast and drive pressure didn't get stupid until I got to around 55lbs boost. Fortunately, I was rarely ever there.

Much less smoke than the 14cm housing as the spool was much quicker.

I have 285's, 3. 54's and an auto.

if you have a stock height tire or shorter gears, a larger housing works just fine. Also, you could go with a looser convertor. I recently did that and now they spool like the old 12cm setup did. I can still blackout an intersection. But, they are much easier to drive smoke free day to day in stop and go traffic.

Also, I am at sea level and a hot day is 75 degrees. :laf:
