ARP Stud? & ATS manifold?

Part #?

well i thought i might have better luck in here. i am installing an non pdr hx-40 on my 1995 dodge automatic. the hx-40w i have is a 6 blade with a 16cm w/g housing. i know i have to reclock it but it seems like the wastegate is in the way. if i go on the passenger side of the wastegate the elbow that goes into the intercooler boot hits the fender and if i go on the other side i think it hits a pipe going to the heat exchanger. what i would really like is pictures. i no it is hard to understand what i am trying to say but i will try and get pictures to. Thanks

My advise: ship your turbo to Piers and have them do their work on it. I had them do mine a couple years ago, they balance it way better than stock, machine the compressor housing down to reduce impeller clearance (makes it more efficient and spool a little quicker), they cut the wastegate bracket and rotate it 90 degrees so it fits a Ram, weld it back on and then adjust the wastegate to about 40 psi.

They are a pain to adjust on the truck and it won't fit unless this is done. Unless you cut up the fender or something.

IIRC, Mark said they don't set them to go over 32#, unless asked to. Helps the shaft out, I'm sure. Mine is set at 38#.

How much does an hx40 normally go for?? I had a shop offer me a used one with a downpipe for 500. . Is that a good deal? Will temps be ok pulling?

The downpipe is $125, $500 (with the right exhaust housing) is a good deal. Make sure the compressor housing outlet is the same as the stocker you're replacing.
