HX-40 performance

I have a brand new hx-40 turbo that I want to use on my truck, an 03 HO, ( I got it for free! ). Is anyone using this one on the 03 or newer truck and how do you like it? This is a brand new, stock, unmodified hx-40 turbo right from Cummins. As for as I can see it looks like it would bolt up fairly easy, the exhuast mounting flange is the same, plus I can get the intake adapter for it as well. Like I said, it was free so why not. Any opinions or tips would be appreciated. Thanks and a Happy New Year to everyone.

Go for it.

Another thing to do would be to sell the turbo or get it modified to last under

higher boost applications.

The exhuast mounting flange is not the same it has to have a adpter I dont rember but one side is larger I think it is HX40 side is larger in dia. I ran a PDR HX40 on my 04 at May Maddness, Piers had the adpt. made for me. If you are running the TST Box

the HX40 will not hold up on a 3rd gen truck at higher levels
