How much boost pressure can an HX35-16 safely stand before it self-destructs??? TIA

I just got my clutch in today and now I'm getting 40-42 psi( up from 36-38 with slipping clutch). I think Joe D. told me he was getting 45 on his before going to the HX40. I can see a HX-40 in my future.

I see 44 psi pretty regular and have peaked up to 46 psi several times with the stock 12cm housing. No trouble yet! If I were to step off the throttle quickly at that level I might snap the shaft, but I'm careful to back out of it slowly.

I'm saving up for a HX-40 and remotely looking at twins. If you plan on running that much boost very often, I would advise the HX-40.

Like "drawson" and "Strick-9" I am also
at about 40 PSI right now. Like them, I
am going to purchase the HX-40/16 in the
next few months. I have not had a "problem"
so far with the HX-35/12 but like "Strick-9"
said I am careful about "letting off the
throttle to quickly" after I have been
accelerating or running real hard. The
times that I have done I can DEFINITELY
hear that turbo "complaining. "
