i have looked for the info myself but i have not found what i was looking for yet. what i want to know is will a hx35/40 work for my truck in lowering the egts? you can see what i have done below in my sig. would it help or should i just save up for a hx40? the other question is would the hx40 be the best for my app or should i go a little bigger? if bigger what turbo do you all think i should go with? thanks for your help :)

It works pretty good for me. I don't tow so I can't say what EGT's would be like towing. I have to work really hard to get to 1350 and can peg a 50 psi gauge if the wastegate isn't adjusted properly. I try to run mine at 45 max psi.

In spite of a lot of bashing it seems to get, the PDR HX40/16 is a really nice turbo, and it will lower your EGTs. Yeah, you can get fancier ones and they'll perform better, but there's nothing wrong with the PDR turbo.

A bigger turbo (presumably with a bigger exhaust housing) will be great for upper-end EGTs but you'll sacrifice low end response (more lag and smoke).

The HX50 or 55 was looking to be the hot ticket for a while a year or so ago, but they really weren't holding up.

Now the new HT2B from High Tech Turbo is the ticket for a single.
