HX35 A/R ratio

Hello all,

What is the A/R of the HX35?

Holset turbo's don't list A/R numbers, only exhaust housing sizes by sq. cm. Most 2nd gen trucks have a 12 sq. cm. housing, the 3rd gen uses a single flute 9sq. cm housing.

Does the 600 have a bigger turbo compared to the 555

one8upcb, no. I believe it is the same size.

My understanding is that the 600's have slightly larger compressor wheels that should be capable of flowing more air.

The 600 turbo has a computor controled solenoid that will bleed off boost signal to the actuator,allowing more boost. I have seen up to 34 psi on a bone stock 600.
