I replaced the stock 35 off my '02 HO with a HX40. When I put my Edge comp on the 35 it came with a brass fitting(boost elbow?) to install in the 35. Is that what made it run up to 38ish lbs of boost? Also, my new HX40 is only making around 30-32 lbs. Can I swap in the elbow that came with the Comp box on the 40 to run alittle higher boost?

Yes, the elbow is what raised the boost on your 35 (fwiw 38ish was a bit high IMO). I'm not very familiar with the 40, so I don't know if the stock wastegate is adjustable or if it uses the same/similar elbow to raise boost.

The 38 lbs was mostly a guesstimate, my guage only went to 35, but I would peg it at WOT w/ my Comp box on 5/5. Might have only been right at 35. Truck ran like a raped ape, but I needed some lower EGT's for when I towed, so far the 40 works great, slightly slower spool, but its alittle more managable now, the 35 was a little violent. Would just like a little more boost. I think it would help.
