Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) hx35/hx40 twins

I have a 99 24v with a drag comp and Bosch 300 injectors. I have a PDR HX40 turbo on it and love the way the turbo woks on the top end but hate it when towing and in the mountains I usually tow at 6000-10000 feet. I really like the way the stock Hx35 woks for towing but my egt get way high when running on 5x5. My question is can I build a set of twins using my stock hx35 as a top turbo and use the PDR Hx40 as the lower turbo?

you can, but you'd be better off selling the HX40 and buying a bigger bottom turbo

Ditch the 40, not big enough to work properly in twins as the low pressure charger. You can get an Ht3b fairly cheap. Call piers, he sells them

Look at the K31 as a primary. Seems to spool in about 1/2 the time. Tows very well. Built in wastegate.
