The HX35 wastegate only works on the rear three cylinders, why not remove a portion of the web at the flange area and taper it to a point to reduce flow disturbance? This would allow back pressure to equalize across the cylinders keeping the drive pressure equal. Has anyone tried this and is it a viable option?

Split turbine housing are supposed to spool up faster by taking advantage of the exhaust pulses alternating from the front to the back. How much difference it makes I don't know.

Right on T. Baker!

The exhaust wheel is designed with the divider in mind. Removing it will upset performance. Also, establishing a leading edge in the exhaust stream will result in rapid erosion of the leading edge of the divider wall.

Interesting comment on the waste from 1 side only. I wonder if there is really much dif in operation on back pressure. I have my pyro pre turbo on the rear 3, so maybe the front 3 are hotter when wastgating??
