My HX35 is is screaming!!! I just put adjustable boost elbow on, and no help.

I can peg my 40 lb gauge in a split second.

Could my wastegate actuater be stuck? What can I do about this?

I know... get a bigger turbo, That will be the next mod.

PS. I just got the SMARTY but, I was over boosting before with just comp and stage 3 jammers SMARTY is unbelievable!!!

Yes, your wastegate is stuck. It can be freed up if you need to keep the turbo for a while but it's a PITA and you have to take the turbo off the engine.

Just keeping driving it as it is.

You won't need a wastegate for the smoldering hole where your turbo used to be.

Now Your Scaring Me Guess the time has come to look for better turbo. Will I be ok like this if I keep my foot out of it while trying to decide on what turbo?

Id rather not R & R this one and still have the same old HX35

You'll be fine if you watch your gauges. Some thoughts on the turbo question: you might consider a 14 cm turbine housing on your stock turbo. The next logical step would be a PDR 35 or a Dodgezilla hybrid.

darkhorse, I've been following SMARTY thread form the start and know all about your terrible miss-hap. Hope all is moving foreward and fast for you.

I don,t do alot of towing but , don't want to loose that option.

Would the 14 cm housing lower my egt's? I can peg my gauge instantly if I stab it.

Or, should I move up to a PDR 35 or Dodgezilla?

I want to do it right the first time but, like many, the budget,ya know.

Thanks TT. I'm healing pretty well. Two more months in this cage & I'll be good as new. I got a replacement truck but I'll want to convert it from a ETC 5 speed to a ETH 6 speed if that's practical.

The 14 CM housing will help reduce egt's quite a bit. I've been using one on my Dodgzilla & it's a great combination. You could go in stages if money is tight & do the housing first on your stock turbo, then get the DZ with out a housing. Thats what I did. I put the DZ on with out removing the housing from the manifold. That was suggested by Rip Rook.

Thanks darkhorse,

I know Im in trouble with my egt and boost # I've dealt with Rip in the past, (great guy) Looks like I need to give him a call
