Has anyone out there run both? I would imagine a stock HX35 with the 16 housing would spool faster. If its not that much faster I think I may throw a hx35/12 on there and swap the 370's for 215's.

I like this HX40 but just driving around town the truck is slow and smokey. On the freeway its great but I miss how it used to pull off the line. Can probably go all day without seeing 15psi. Just getting tired of the lag.

Is it a PDR40 ? I have found that there is quite a difference from a pdr40 to a standard 40. What rpm does yours start to spool at moderate driving?

Zach is running a Dodgezilla 40. I don't know much about it but I would imagine it is similar to the PDR 40. In any case it is better than a stocker.

Given that the wheels are smaller with less mass, I would imagine the HX35/16 would spool faster than the HX40/16.

I experience the same thing... . :( It is a rocket on the freeway, but I really have to be in it for a little while to get it to light up vs. my stocker and even my DZ hybrid. I am not going to go back, though. If anything, it just means that my turbo is begging for more fuel! :-laf :-laf

I had a PDR40 on my old 01 and I would say this turbo lights just as quick. But its hard to compare a 24valve to a 12.

Light to mid throttle I see 8psi at 1750rpm.

I partly want to do this to improve in town milage. Right now I'm seeing 12-14mpg. I used to get 16-18 before the 40.

I do have a line on a HTT Stage3 HX35 with a 12 and a 16 housing so I may just swap with the guy.

Weird... . When I swapped turbos, my mileage didn't change, and it didn't change when I threw in my DD3's. Still getting 18-19mpg.

I thought so to, but I checked everything I could think of and nothing was loose.

My max boost hasnt changed still 38psi where I set it when I first got the turbo.

Highway milage is unchanged, still get 20mpg at 60-65
