Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) HX40 on 24V?

I think that the mods that I have listed will be good for me. I just dont want to burn anything up. I dont have the money for a complete trans or I would go ahead and do it. I just want someone to tell me that I stand a chance with the mods listed to get by with only changing the TC and VB. I would also like to know what kind of EGT's people are seeing with the HX40.

with the mods you listed a t/c and v/b will work. you wont be near 500hp so you should be fine. i had rv275's and superchips and the t/c and v/b were fine. I can hit 1500 deg on pyro when racing and pulling heavy. but that can be controlled with the right foot.

the sig only shows on your first post on each page. I would say a good 300 or so rwhp. that could be conservative. I wonder about my actual numbers. I cant keep a trans in mine when I get "playful". lol. I cant keep forward clutches in it for some reason. got better ones now. I will see what happens.

I Would Have To Agree With Mark, Prolly In The 300 Range, And I Would Do Full Trans It Will Be Cheaper In The Long Run, I Did Half The Job On My Trans Then Had To Do It Over When I Snapped Output Shaft Cuz I Wanted To Save $

well mine only put down 396 and 785 with everything in my sig. could be a little conservative but not too much I dont think.

what are you getting for fuel pressure?i have the vulcan big lines . . sure that helps... first time i dyno i was real disappointed ... not enough fuel. . just a thought

Each truck will be different same with the dynos and how they are run.

the 4. 10's. I still have them. now I have a gear vendors overdrive and it is awesome. and I also have the vulcan big line/relocation kit. my pressure never drops below 10 psi. you want to talk about dissapointment, the first time I ever dyno'd it only put down 189/450. I have done a lot of things since that dyno though.

here is a pic of my stock HY35 compaired to the PDR 16cm HX40:



500hp on a hx40 is a stretch, youre better off with a larger turbo than a 40 to get 500. a good 450hp would be a good place to set yourself. maybe some 150 sticks would be good also



on a side note I went from my DD3s (100hp injectors) to the NewEra 150s and I noticed my fuel milage went up with the 150s!! they clean up NICE! but can also black out a car behind you with no problem!! Im not sure how or why but they helped out yet were a larger injector Im very happy AND they (NewEra 150s) were at GREAT PRICE

I have the EDM 2's edge ez, thats coming off in a day getting the juice/attitude, hi tech HTB II 62/14, 5 speed, sbc con o clutch,

Wondering if I got the NEW ERA 150 sticks, what would be all the good and bad of changing from DON M's EDM's to NEW ERA?

Why dont you set the juice so EGT does not get so high . Dont get all the power but no chance of damage .

from everyone that Ive talked to there are only 3 peole that cut injectors so search for a good price!



the difference is if they are EDM cut or Extrude Honed
