Extrude hone will get you more power assuming you have correct spray pattern. EDM's are used because of you extensive extrude honing allows hole shape to change, and is time consuming.

My HX40 works good for me and I hope to be over or at 500 HP. There is no Dyno in Alaska and I have not found the time to drive 1400 miles to PDR to dyno yet...

If I was made of $$ I would have a different turbo and o-ringed head/ported head, but I am not so I live with my 40. Its not the best off the line but it spools up good. I would run a wastegated version or you will blow it up, set the waste gate to 40 psi or maybe 43 psi. I remember Piers telling me that anything over 45 was certain death.

As for what type of injector to run, that is a subject that bring out too much emotion. I like F1's Mach injectors, but I have also run Diesel Dynamics old Extrude hone DD3's and they worked good.

the horsepower doesnt kill the transmission although it helps. But the tourqe is what kills it. 300hp 600ftlbs of torque as all these boxes are increseing power both horses and torque

IC...

I have the EDM 2's edge ez, thats coming off in a day getting the juice/attitude, hi tech HTB II 62/14, 5 speed, sbc con o clutch,

Wondering if I got the NEW ERA 150 sticks, what would be all the good and bad of changing from DON M's EDM's to NEW ERA?

You're gonna need more clutch than the Con O for sure..... OFE or FE.

James I agree, but!!! I just went to275's and WOW! I love it better than the EDM's for SURE! wondering if Im still gonna need something bigger ???

I havent smelled my clutch from under the wheel-well since the swap from the EDM 2's :)

have HX40 on my truck

Hi my truck is a 002 6spd C. C. that was made into a Class C M. H. Had serious egt issues in the Mtns right from the start. Since putting on the HX40 a vast improvement. truck is stock except for a little intake an exhaust work. You still have to keep your eye on the egts but not at all like the orig. HX35.
