Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) HX40 questions

I am considering picking up a used HX40 that I have located. My questions are what is a good price on one with around 10,000 miles on it? Also, I believe it has a 16cm housing. Will there be any issues with using my Jake brake with this turbo or will it bolt right up? Thanks

If you brake was mounted to a hx 35 it will not mount up to a hx 40. The HX 40 uses a different down pipe. As for the brake you will have to sell it and buy a remote mounted brake.

A stock used Hx40 if in good shape is worth around $500 or less. If you use it on your truck you will need to have injectors to get it to spool up and then a stock Hx40 isn't balanced correctly and can blow up. Especially with 6spd. It will not bolt up to you exhaust brake
