How much does an hx40 turbo lower your egt's? Will the hx40 add any hp? I am trying to decide if i should get my hx35 turbo modified or install an hx 40 turbo and be done with it?

Pier' Super HX-40

This GREAT turbo gave me right at 200 deg reduction in EGTs. I have now added more fuel and they are right back where they where before. Beware once you get started bombing it take a life of it's own... . :--)

I'm getting to that point myself. Should I spend money on a modified 35 or wait and drop the money on the 40

If I go with the 40, I will definitley remove the 215's I have in the truck now and throw in 370's. This would probably yield a minimal EGT reduction, but it will sure run a heck of a lot better :)

I don't see where either of you are running injectors in your sigs, I would try a Piers HX35 if that is the case, but what do I know right?

If you are going to get serious about HP don't even bother with a 35, either the 40 or b-1 is what you should start with because at least they can be used on the twin set up you will need. :D

That is why I'm thinking I shouldn't drop the money on the 35. Although I am not serious about HP now :) I'm sure I will be in the future.
