Has anyone tried a HX40 after using a HX35/40 hybrid. I was wondering if the HX40 would drop EGT more.

The hx should drop the EGTs some more since you will be going with a slightly larger exhaust side on the turbo, but you will also get more lag.

I bought a HX40W on eBay for $70 that needs rebuilding, I could use the parts from my newly built hybrid. Or I could sell it on eBay and buy new parts. I thought 1300 was my max temp, but yesterday in warmer weather it hits 1400 and stays there as long as I keep it floored. I would like to buy a S300 based turbo but they are expensive.

I sent mine here for rebuilding & setting up with the 16cm exhaust housing. PDR does some great tweaks.

The HX40 arrived today, it has the 16cm exhaust housing. It needs a new fresh air wheel and housing. The wheel split in half, the exhaust housing was soaked with oil. I bet things got ugly when it let go.
