has any body tried a hy35 9cm from a 2001 auto truck on a first gen? im about to try it out just wondering if any body has done it before? and how it worked out?. . etc i have retrofited a 2nd gen (94) intercooler and i have the 727 3 spd with 3. 07 gears so my low end is good and going to be better with the hy35 in sure my top end is going to be different though. the guy i got my hy from gave me the turn buckle and spring the 24 valve guys use to hold the waste gate back some so of course im gonna run it that way and of course im taking the silencer ring out ha... later

I haven't done this but from what I gather the truck will have better response on the low end and probably the same egt's and economy empty but loaded (towing) your egt's will go up a little and your economy down 1 or 2 mpg if you havent turned it up very far and have stock injectors you may not have that happen since it is caused by high drive pressures meaning you have more exhaust than fits through the 9cm housing and the wastegate. If its doing that im pretty sure youll get boost creep meaning you set the wastegate to say 20psi but once you get to a certain rpm at full throttle the boost will continue too climb or creep.

anyway I would probably try it for a daily driver usually emty with a fair amount of in town driving but for a tow rig stick with the h1c or an hx35

There is more info on the subject if you do a search on it I think I searched hy35 under the first gen forum last time but who knows... good luck have fun

You should be ok if you stay with stock injectors. Anything bigger and the EGT's are sure to get hot fast, as well as the high drive pressures and taking the compressor way off its map. Especially if you turnbuckle the wastegate. Throttle response will be sweet though.
