I think it's '96 as well. One of the reasons why, when I was also considering buying a 2nd gen, I was only looking at the '96's & '97's. Here's a link with specs & here's a quote from that same link:

1994-1999 HD 2500 2WD 2500 4X4 3500

____________Power Assist Type_____________

1994-1995 all: Dual Vacuum Diaphragm

1996-1999 Gas Engine: Dual Vacuum Diaphragm

1996-2001 Diesel Engine: Hydraulic Booster

Thanks for the info!

Looking to retrofit my 92 with hydraulic boost.

Love the signature quote.

I shared it with family and friends and they loved it.

Can't take any credit for the quote as I 'stole' (perpetually borrowed) it from someone else. Can't remember where tho. Visit so many sites that it's all a blur ...

... Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving

safely in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to slide across

the finish line broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out, leaking oil, and shouting GERONIMO!!! -- Bill McKenna, professional motorcycle racer, as quoted in Cycle magazine Feb. 1982

I've seen the quote with several different forms, one was in a born again Christen newsletter severally altered to fit their needs.

Thanks!

It fits.

88" Shovel in a hardtail frame

65 Ducati 250 Narrow case (Former GP bike)

75 suzuki GT 500 (Two stroke) in an 89 GS 500 frame.

I bought the GS 500 frame after the GT 500 was hit broadside by an Alfa Romeo that ran a stop sign. I couldn't see wasting a good two stroke.

That was the last accident that I "Walked away" from.

Rode hard until August of 2001 when the Neon I was driving was hit head on by a Dakota.

Now I drive a 7500# (Mass in my favor) daily driver.

Looking for more braking power with less effort.

Great forum!

Thanks for all the info.
